Look!

They're here, they're super cute and they'll (all five of them) be living in our garden as soon as all their grown up feathers are here and they're ready to leave their Mum.

Groan...

You know you're probably not batting at full strength when a simple cold can knock you flat for over two and a half weeks...

Apologies (again) for my blog absence. I've actually been getting a horrible guilty feeling in my stomach every time I approach the PC of late, but you know, sometimes you just can't do it.

Anyway, the cold is finally gone, and we're all feeling much happier now.

Can you believe that Molly is almost 2?! No, me neither, it's just flown by. It feels like 2 weeks (and 20 years) ago since I bought her home from the hospital. All of those people who told us to treasure ever moment were so right. Sometimes I feel like I'm going to come back from the kitchen and find her in her school uniform... seriously time has just gone supersonic on me!

But I'm coming to terms with it. Helped along by my coffee groups joint second birthday party at Lollipops that we had last Monday. It was so much fun. The kids had a whale of a time - and best of all, no one had to cook or clear up after them! The pic is Molly enjoying her lunch. She especially enjoyed her individual ice cream cup with sprinkles (she's never had a whole pot to herself before and kept checking with me that it was OK to keep eating and offering me some - so cute). All the 'action shots' are rubbish I'm afraid. I'm no David Bailey at the best of times, so add the hysterical laughter that their manic running around caused and you can imagine the blurred and nonsensical results! Oh well.
